Bypass salon lineups with Waxxxie

Hello hello.

With scorching summer heat in full blast, we are fast to drop those layers and if lockdown sabotaged your smoothness game, I gotchu!

During these months of incubated survival (hahaha), I have become a teacher to my kids (I’m glad that school year now is over), my own waxing specialist, hair stylist and so much more.

Let’s tackle one “profession” at the time haha

Waxing!

I have always epilated or waxed and with the famous lockdown, salons were shut down too. So I had to find a good alternative, until I’m able to splurge again.

I found my favorite or ALL TIME waxing kit! It’s hands down the best and so friking affordable!!!

It would be extremely selfish if I wouldn’t share and just so you know, this is not a sponsored post, all the products I’ll be talking about, I have purchased and re-purchased.

Ok, let’s start! Brand is called Waxxxie, it’s Australian made. It offers variety of different products, so far, I have tried 3 and those are the ones I’ll be talking about. All of the products are:

fragrance free
dermatologically tested
sensitive skin approved

As I mentioned above, I have tried 3 of Waxxxie wax products:

–Salon Wax (peel off)

-Aquawax (100% water soluble)

–Aquawax cartridge (100% water soluble)

“Waxxxie Salon Wax is a salon quality creamy wax. It is perfect for sensitive skin and delicate area. This microwaveable wax is flexible, easy to use, and remove both fine and coarse hairs effectively. No strips are required.”

This was the first product I tried and fell in love right away! It delivers all what was promised. Salon quality performance with an ease.

Kit comes with wax itself, wooden spatula, disposable g-string and aftercare wipe.

To use it just warm up the wax in microwave (follow instructions, depending on how much you have and need), determine direction of hair growth and using spatula apply a thick layer of wax on desired area in the direction of hair growth.

Wait until wax no longer sticks to fingertips and then holding skin with one hand, use the other to quickly pull back in the opposite direction of hair growth, as close to the skin as possible.

Results are incredible! I used it for my underarms, Brazilian (brave, I know haha), legs and was not disappointed. It was quick, no mess, no irritation.

I can’t stress enough how much I love this product! 10/10

After having such amazing results with salon wax, I decided to try 2 other Waxxxie products. Next 2 have the same formula, just a different application.

“Aquawax is a sugar based formula and is 100% water soluble. There is no sticky residue, it simply washes off in water.”

Aquawax kit comes with jar of wax, spatula, reusable strips (washable). This particular kit was my least favorite, it just didn’t perform well with my body hair. I have very fine hair and I felt it wouldn’t “catch” them. If you have thicker, longer or more hair, it may work better.

I love the fact that formula is water based, no stickiness and easy to wash off, and the fact that the kit came with reusable strips! Unfortunately, this kit didn’t really work for me. I really wanted it to, but this one wasn’t for me. 3/10

Third one is Aquawax Cartridge – same formula as the previous kit, only this one comes in a cartridge form, which allows easier application. It also comes with different size applicators, that you can switch up, depending on what area you’re going to target – legs, bikini, face etc.

This one, performed better than the jar Aquawax, maybe because applicator allowed more even application and proper thickness for wax layer. Not sure.

It also comes with reusable strips, which is so brilliant. I cut few of them in half for smaller areas, like underarms and bikini. From all the areas I tested this one, it worked the best for my legs. So for that, I’ll add some points and will give it 5/10.

Aquawax just didn’t work for me and as you can tell, I do have a strong favorite – peel off salon wax is a must have!!! And it’s only $14.95 – I knooow!!!
