Health Boost ft Nature’s Sunshine

Hi friend, I hope life has been treating you good and I hope you can feel how very impatiently Spring is coming upon us. Warmer temperatures, lighter layers of clothing, sun created smiles, sight of sprouting greens and blooming flowers.

2020 will definitely be remembered as one of the weirdest years for everyone in the world. A lots of people are coming out of the global pandemic and lockdown somewhat depressed, cautious about their immune system (something we all actually should be thinking all year around) and just overall exhausted.

Last year was my year of breakthrough. In several different areas in my life and one of them was health. I created new and very beneficial habits – regular workouts, picked back up my running, healthier diet, started using supplements and vitamins – they are life – literally.

I feel health and wellness is going to be subject, I will be talking about more in the future. But today’s spotlight is on few of my favorite vitamins and supplements from Nature’s Sunshine – first company to put herbs into easy-to-take capsules. Being around for almost 50 years and bringing the healing power of herbs to millions of people by offering 200+ products!

I want to open today’s post with FLAX SEED OIL

Flax Seed Oil is an excellent plant source of essential fatty acids (EFAs). Flax Seed Oil is also an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acid, as well as omega 6, and omega-9 fatty acids. The body requires EFAs for proper brian and cell membrane maintenance, nerve development and health, mood, inflammation control, and hormonal balance. These fatty acids are called ‘essential’ because they are necessary for health, and they cannot be produced within the human body but must supplied from the diet.” /source/

Just 1 capsule daily will give you needed dose of omegas, which are very beneficial and essential to your health. Here are few of the key benefits – it reduces inflammation, improves heart health and protects from brain aging. And unless you’re eating 2 fatty fish servings a day or supplement your diet with fish oil, this is not only beneficial but much needed!

Something I can’t go without is SPIRULINA

Spirulina is a blue-green algae that grows in warm, alkaline fresh waters around the world and is one of the plant’s most ancient forms of plant life. Today, it is recognized as one of the most nutritious whole superfoods on the market, due to its dense nutrient content.” /source/

You probably are quite familiar with Spirulina. It’s one of the worlds most popular and one of my favorite supplements! By the way, you will hear me say this often – if you’re not using supplements, get on it! We need to help our bodies function to their potential.

Spirulina is amazing source of iron and essential amino acids. A lot of people associate it with energy, but it’s so much more! It’s loaded with nutrients and antioxidants, that benefit not only your body, but your brain as well. It may be one of the most nutrient-dense foods on earth. It can even lower your cholesterol, may be effective against anemia, high blood pressure, aid blood sugar control and even improve muscle strength and endurance.

Since younger age, I have struggled with being regular (I would say TMI, but we are family here). I had implemented different foods in my diet but over the years, I’ve learned that I need a bit of help and the best part is that there are so many amazing and natural supplements you can choose from.

These 2 work amazing together:

DIGESTIVE ENZYMES

“Digestive enzymes are secreted along the gastrointestinal tract and break down foods, enabling the nutrients to be absorbed into the bloodstream for use in various bodily functions. Enzymes are extremely sensitive to heat and are easily destroyed by cooking in temperatures above 47C (117F). Age and various digestive system problems can reduce the production of digestive enzymes and impair the digestive system’s ability to adequately digest food.” /source/

The enzymes in your body help to perform very important tasks. Which include building muscle, destroying toxins, and breaking down food particles during digestion. My best friend ha ha.

Next on the menu is FIBRE BOOST

“Fibre Boost is the ideal complement to any weight management program. Fibre Boost contains emulsifiers and fibres which help control the intake of fats in the system where they are usually stored in fat cells before the body can use them as a source of energy. There are two types of fibre:insoluble and soluble. The insoluble fibre, which does not absorb water, works like a broom in the large intestine to promote regularity. Soluble fibre, which absorbs many times its own weight in water, binds with fat and cholesterol in the intestinal tract. This excess fat is then carried out of the gastrointestinal tract as waste, rather than being re-absorbed.”

Great product to ease constipations and irregularity. I have to have this in my supplements selection at all times. Using this one, as well as any other supplement, make sure to amp up on water intake. ALWAYS. Set a reminders to drink your water till it becomes a habit.

These were the products I wanted to spot light as I love them so much and thought you might too. Another important thing, don’t get overwhelmed and know, it’s totally normal and needed to use more that one vitamin and/or supplement. Nutrition gaps in our diets and climate require for us to step up.

Head over to Nature’s Sunshine site by clicking here and enjoy my 25% off discount on your first purchase! They have the best selection!

Let me know what you’re thinking of getting? And are you using any supplements in your routine already?
